Bundle Up if You Plan on Waiting for a Cab

It's going to be cold tonight! The temps could be in the 20s by midnight. Add the wind chill to that and waiting for a cab to get home tonight could be miserable!

New Year's Day will be quite chilly as well so don't feel guilty about nursing your hangover indoors.

Happy New Year!!

Alright Already

Peer pressure to blog - a new low!

The temp in DC has been unseasonably warm. Well, I'm not sure if unseasonably is actually the correct term b/c this happens to us every year. With New Year's Eve approaching I am reminded of the New Year's Day that was like 70 degrees! That was awesome!

This NYE will not be so warm. The temp is going to drop in the next day and the wind is going to pick up. At least you won't need an umbrella!

Meet me at Martins

What better way to ring in Thanksgiving than a night at Billy Martin's Tavern?!

Missing sun

This is what we left behind on Sunday. It's hard to believe it's only been a couple of days. It's not as cold today as it has been, but i miss the desert!

Bring your umbrella to work day

It's going to rain today! The rest of the week is going to be pretty low-key (will update for thursday closer to the holiday).

Back from the desert and too tired to write. Missing Palm Springs....

Liz sports her cold weather look in Dupont Circle Tuesday night.

The weather outside is not frightful

The weather this morning might possibly be my favorite weather - though i wouldn't mind some snow on the ground. It's cold, but sunny. I love getting all bundled up! Today is definitely a hat-scarf-gloves day. It's very cold now and won't get much warmer - highs in the 40s. This will stick with us for a couple of days.

Today would be a perfect day for a chai tea latte!

you know what the first snow fall means

The snow is blowing around....though by yankee standards it's not really snowing. Regardless, it's cold. The cold weather begs for red wine and hearty meals. I'm not going to pretend to know which type of wine one should drink on a day like this - just make sure to drink some.

Some say that snow this early in the season can only mean it's going to be a snowy winter. Stock up on your reds now!

Thanks for the idea

I want to start this blog by thanking my friends for encouraging me to tell the world about my fascination with weather. Rain, sleet or snow...they are always my good friends!
