I am escaping the heat! The next couple of days will be in the 90s here in DC so I am looking forward to heading to Skaneateles on Friday for 10 days! The temperature will be in the mid to upper 70s while I'm there...with nice, cool evenings. I love summer in Skaneateles!

The forecast for my friend Andrew's wedding looks great! Saturday will be high 70s with partly cloudy skies - can't ask for much better than that for an outdoor wedding.

I'll try update this informative blog while I'm away b/c I know so many of my readers rely on it!

Holy Humidity

If you hair isn't frizzing up, then I'm amazed! it's been pretty humid the last couple of days and it's going to be really humid on Saturday. Gross! Sunday should be less humid and there could be a nice breeze. I don't want to wish my days away, but I'm looking forward to Sunday.

Tonight would be a good night for a cookout, though there is a chance of showers later tonight. No biggie.

There is a chance of showers/thunderstorms every day this week! I'm going to keep my umbrella with me at all times....

A Perfect Night for Wolf Trap

I went to see Emmylou Harris, Patty Griffin, Shawn Colvin and Buddy Miller at Wolf Trap last night and it was amazing! The music was fantastic and experiencing those artists playing together was a real treat. The weather just added to the experience. It was a cool summer night with a light breeze - perfect for an outdoor concert. I am still in such a good mood after spending a night under the starts listening to great music.

The summer weather is fast approaching now that we are in June. Today will remain nice in the upper 70s with moderate humidity but tomorrow the weather will turn typical-dc-summer weather - hot and humid. Hopefully some mid-week showers will take the humidity down a notch for the weekend.

I wonder what the weather in London is like...
