Cherry Blossoms!

The Cherry Blossom festival started over the weekend and the trees cooperated. Yesterday was a beautiful day before the rain start in the late-afternoon and I was able to walk down and see the blossoms (long walk).
The weather this week will definitely be spring-like with scattered showers and temps in the 60's. Hopefully that means warmer weather next week with a lot of flowers...?

Happy Spring

Sure the first day of Spring isn't very warm...but the sun is out! This weekend will be nice and sunny and the temps could get up to the 60s by Sunday. The evenings will still be chilly so don't head out for beers/barcelonas without a coat.

St. Nikki's Day

It's snowing!? It wouldn't be a good day for peep toe shoes!

The weather isn't looking so good for St. Nikki's weekend. It's definitely not going to warm up or be sunny. At least a rainy day on Saturday will give people the opportunity to rest up for a big night!

March is Fickle

We had a snow storm last week, spring weather over the weekend and we're back to cooler weather. Tomorrow will warm up again but then we'll see temps in the 40s-50s the rest of week. I hope the sun stays out for St. Nikki's Day!

Spring Ahead!

Saturday night/early Sunday morning is daylight savings. Don't forget to set your clocks an hour ahead.

It's a shame to lose an hour on such a beautiful weekend! The temp is going to be in the 70s!

Saturday: partly sunny. 70+/- degrees

Sunday: partyly cloudy. mid-70s!

Enjoy!

It is COLD!

The windchill is 0 degrees - 0 degrees farenheit is cold!!! It won't get much warmer today but at least the sun is shining. The good news is that is going to warm up tomorrow and get steadily warmer through the week. The bad news is that all the pretty white snow is going to melt. Oh well....

Snow Day...Well, Almost

I LOVE snow. I like to think of this as my first gift of my birthday month!
For those of us who work for the fed gov't or follow its schedule, this morning was a nice little gift for all of us. Two hour delay - I won't complain!

Walking to work wasn't as bad as I thought it would be (i love my moon boots!). i wish i had taken pictures of the different styles of snow clearance people use. I saw a man sweeping (?), saw a snow blower, saw lots of shovels and saw only salt. Overall folks did a good job clearing the snow but some areas were a little rough. I bet the people with snow blowers were pumped to break those things out this morning. They must not use them more than once, maybe twice, a year.

the snow is going to flake and blow around into the afternoon and it's going to be cold. we won't have the snow for long b/c the temps are supposed to rise in the coming days. enjoy it while it lasts!
