Happy Halloween (and don't forget to turn your clocks back)!

I'm off to Skaneateles for a low-key, relaxing weekend with my parents. I am looking forward to eating some Dinosaur BBQ and handing out candy to the kiddos in my neighborhood. I might grab some shaving cream at some point to have on hand for self-defense. Handing out candy in Skantown can get rough!

The weekend weather looks a bit mixed - rainy and in the 50s for Halloween and then cooling down on Sunday with some sun.

Dickie's Georgetown forecast for the Martin's Halloween s%*t show:

forecast is for temps in the 60s and 70s. Rain later, but we'll be under cover, and it's not supposed to kick in till after 9pm

Another Rainy Weekend?

The forecast is not looking great for the short trip to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It could rain all day Saturday... but Sunday looks promising. I'm sure we'll find a way to entertain ourselves if it rains all day...perhaps some wine tasting, anyone? And Sunday looks like a great day for a hike before heading back to DC.

Have You Seen the Doppler Radar??

One day I will figure out how to add the Doppler radar to this blog, but until then, let me tell you, it is raining! I mean, it is raining for the next 3 or 4 days. Not ok! It's cold, rainy and miserable. Going to work is hard enough as it is - waking up on a cold, rainy day is a major feat!
I would recommend eating some jambalaya and drinking some red wine while waiting for this to pass.

The Larrabee Visit

The long weekend won't be too exciting...weather wise. The arrival of Mel and her bun is already very exciting!
Saturday is going to be cloudy and in the 70s and it looks like Sunday will a bit sunnier but still pretty cool. I'm sure we'll make it a fun weekend even with the clouds!
On another note, I'm looking forward to breaking into some of my fall season clothes that have been tucked away. This weather is totally apple-picking, chai-sipping, chili-making, beer drinking weather!
